Scary Day Today

So, I go to the gym today, and like always I promise my two little ones, Vinnie & Emily, that afterward we will go to the park.  There are a ton of parks around here, so I try to switch it up a bit.  I find this one that is just awesome.  The kids run off to play and there goes Vinnie!  Down face first hitting his forehead on one of the metal bars.  I pick him up and he has this huge bump that I can actually SEE growing by the second!!  It was ugly and purple and about half the size of his forehead!!

So, normally I'm not freaked out by this kind of stuff, but this one really scared me, so we jump in the car and head to the ER.  Thankfully we have a Ped's ER at the hospital so we are in and out in about an hour.  We had to have an x-ray taken and found that he didn't fracture his skull so he'll be ok. 

I don't know what freaked him out more though...the fall or the x-ray!!  He is so scared of machinery & equipment...he screamed bloody murder! I felt so bad because I had to hold him down and I could see the terror in his eyes...he was genuinely petrified!  I'm so glad it's nothing serious!
