I love to walk!!

Hi Carla! I like this topic!!! I need to be exercising regularly!! That's for sure!! Well, I worked three days in NYC this week. so I walked home each day from the train station...which I think is at least a 3 mile walk each way!

And today, I think I walked about 2 miles. I walked down to the supermarket. Walked back up the steep hill with a cartful of food and a couple bags in the other hand too! I usually do this about once a week! And I got new ink for my printer, so I can print some labels now for my catalogs!! Yipeee!!!

I love this topic!  we all need to have someone to answer to, even me as a personal trainer :-)  so count me in!  Let's post so that we can keep on each other to take time to workout!!!  mom's often get put last on the list!  Let's move ourselves up the list and make a good example!

I did the elliptical machine for 20 minutes and toning for about 20 minutes today!!

Stacy :-)

I drank my usual whey protein shake, and I'm off to the gym in 30 minutes for weight training.  My weekly schedule usually consists of:

Monday: 20 Min. Cardio, then weight training

Tuesday: Running the ISU Stadium Stairs

Wednesday:  Weight Training

Thursday:  20 Min. Cardio, then weight training

Friday:  Weight Training, then flurry rounds on the cardio machines for 20 min.

Then, I will usually try to do a 3-4 mile run on Saturday or Sunday, depending on how my schedule permits

BEEN SOOO BAD

I am usually a kickboxing (turbo jam) addict but with my plan of staying home with my girl in a year I have lost focus of my fitness regime. Hopefully that will stop soon, I finally got back on my protein shake routine and hoping to get back to it tonight. It is so easy to do Turbo it is just getting the want and drive to do it.

I am headed to do 20 minutes of cardio and some weight training :-)

Do you guys track your body fat or weight more?

I had an awesome weight training session this morning for 60 minutes, then ran 2 miles.

I don't really track either.  I do weight myself periodically, but I go more by how I look and feel endurance and strength wise.  Its tough when weight training to keep track of the scales because inevitably you will see a small weight gain with the more muscle mass you build and that can be frustrating if you are a scale watcher!

the scale is evil

If i went by the scale I would be considered overweight. I have more muscles than anything don't get me wrong the baby pooch is still hanging out. But I have very muscular legs and arms. When people hear my size and they look at me they think I am lying. I am a size 12 but I look a size 9. Makes shopping for clothes difficult. But that is how I know if I am gaining my clothes will be snug when I am fit and tight clothes don't snug they just fit. I DON'T EVEN OWN A SCALE! and will teach my daughter the same. Little skinny girl doesn't seem to be having any weight problems and she loves to exercise and eat healthy at 3, that was my hubby's goal. He wants to workout with her in the future.

Hi I'm new here and I think this is a great topic.  I try most days to work out and with 3 kids it is a challenge.  For the last three weeks I have been getting up extra early to do either yoga or weight training. I try to do some cardio at least 3 to 4 times a week for 20 min.  Do you think that is enough cardio?  I am trying to lose my last ten pounds and it seems like it is always a struggle.  I really am trying to watch what I eat too.
