Welcome New Members! Share Your Story with Us!

We each have unique adoption experiences.  One of the hardest parts for birthmothers and adoptive families is not knowing where to turn for help or information.  I started this group so that people with adoption success could share their experiences with others.  I want this group to be organized so that no more time than necessary has to be spent hunting for information.

I made a post for every state.  As people with foreign adoption stories join, I will add those countries.  Please share your story under the state that your adoption was final as well as any other states you may have used in the process, during Interstate Compact, etc.  General comments are welcomed.

I also want this to be a place where birthmothers can get ideas on where to place their babies.  They are the reason we are here at all and they should be respected at all times.  I am working on my own adoption story.  I began writing a book a year or two ago, at God's calling.  It is extremely difficult and emotionally exhausting to lay your heart out for everyone to see.  That is the reason I have not finished it.  I will try to condense it down for this forum.  My fire for writing it has been rekindled the last few days and I hope to finish it soon.  I look forward to reading all you have to share.~Tamara

Choose Me!

That seems to big our biggest problem currently with adoption.  We are able to visualize different children joining our family and while we can stir up initial interest we never seem to make the final cut to a matching commitee.  My husband repeatedly says "It will all work out."  Which in my heart I know but he is so much better at being patient and waiting.  Would love love love to hear stories about trials and tribulations that ended in successful adoptions!
