Weaning

I intend to breastfeed for 3 more months, but I want my daughter completely weaned by then.  Does anyone have tips on how to do it, when to do it, how long it takes, etc?

Cabbage leaves

Okay so I've weaned my daughter now w/o any problems and two days later a feel so full but only on one side.  Weird...I did a little online research and I think I had a plugged duct.  It was pretty tender but a friend of mine told me to stick cold cabbage leaves in my bra, and it worked!  I'm not sure what it did, but this morning I woke up w/o the tender lump!  Does anyone know anything about how this cabbage thing works?
