Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Taryn Plendl. I am a

mother to two beautiful girls, Brianda who is 8 years old and Caitlin

 who is 2 years old. My 8 year old Brianda has autism. She is a beautiful, smart, funny, and loving little girl, and we are amazed daily by her accomplishments.

We truly believe that Brianda would not be where she is today without

The love and support from her family and the early intervention made

available to her. The CDC has recently stated that 1 in 150 children are on the autistic spectrum. Many parents are not aware of the signs and also of the services available to them. 

We have a wonderful support group that has been instrumental to many of

the families in our community who live with autism everyday. The group

is FOCAS--Families of Children on the Autism Spectrum, Carroll County,

< TT>Maryland. We are proud of the support, services and education

opportunities offered through this group and hope that you will be able

to support us in our latest fundraiser.

Our current fundraiser is with a great company called BabyCrazy.

BabyCrazy offers affordable and unique products and toys that enhance

children’s lives as well as create fun for the whole family! Our FOCAS

organization will earn 20% of the proceeds generated with this fundraiser to put towards many different areas to promote autism awareness.
