When do you start?

My husband and I have talked about homeschooling the girls. At what age do you start?

My 3yr old can say her abc's recognize and write the letter A and count to 12 or 13. She knows her shapes and colors.

My 20mo old can at times count to 10 and is learning her colors. It helps so much for her to have older siblings.

I don't know if I should just be doing simple things like listed above at home till they are 5 or 6 and ready for kindergarten or officially do preschool.

Any advice?

Hey Azure, Lucky for me I'm the second favorite person in Ripys life :) and I know that both of your girls are very smart. I think that just teaching them day to day things like your doing is plenty. I found with Michael ( because of having an older brother) He already knew to much by Kindergarten. That made it hard because he got bored real fast. We went through like 4 full curriculum's and he just devoured it. It is good I think to let your children advance as far as they can. You might have to do advanced curriculum with them or move them up a grade in whatever they are best at.  But I say personally, your girls are way smart, they love to read, and that in itself is an indication that they will love learning!
