I get nervous too about breastfeeding in public. My husband tells me there's nothing wrong and I shouldn't worry about it. In NY it's perfectly legal to breastfeed, and certainly legal for women to go topless. Being a bigger woman I do get self conscious about it. The way america has made a big deal about breasts makes it difficult for women who want to, or are breastfeeding. It's like you have to be an adult model in Playboy, or in an adult film to be able to show them publicly, and it's not like that's what we're doing. All we are doing is giving our children the best God has made for our children. People in this world need to grow up. Every mother has the choice to breast or bottle feed. Those of us who choose to breastfeed should not feel condemed when we are in public and our child needs to eat. If they don't like it they don't have to look. We all got to do what is best for our children.
